[MICHAEL GIARRIZZO, SR] My dad went to World War II when I was five, came back when I was ten, opened a gas station within walking distance of the house, didn't even have to cross the street. Obviously, I was locked into him from the gas station, started doing a little bit of repairs. I got a little bit older and doing all the bicycles in the neighborhood, painting and doing everything we had to do to it. Then probably in the 1950s my dad wanted to get out of the business, and by that time, I'm really involved. Like, I like this, you know, and he said, well, you find a spot or building or whatever, and I'll set you up.
[LAUREN ANGIE] My name is Lauren Angie, we're here at our Chagrin Boulevard location. We have two locations in Greater Cleveland, one in Cleveland Heights and one here in Orange Village. This is my sister, Jill. We've worked together for quite a few years. I started in '75, and I think you started in '85. We've worked at different locations for quite some time, but over the last ten years, we have worked side by side seven out of the ten years, and we've had a blast.
[JILL STRAUSS] We are third generation, we have 4 generations working in the business because our kids are now working with us full time. Our stores are a process-centered environment, so we work on lean manufacturing principles, which provide a quality repair and help service the customer, because it creates predictability.
[LAUREN] Customer service, being there for them, and quality repairs, and we have that passion.
[MICHAEL] We're probably in the upper 1 percent of what we do across the country. I'm still involved. I'm still trying to sell what we do right. What we need is a quality product in the production atmosphere.

[CHRIS HELTON] My name is Chris Helton and I work for LJI Collision Center. I've been here since we opened, pretty much been a painter most of my career. I started off back in let's say '95. I worked at a Buick dealership, just getting cars ready for delivery, and I transitioned to the body shop, started working on getting cars ready for delivery there after they've been repaired. And then I moved on to learning how to do bodywork and paint. When I first started spraying 9K, the first thing that I noticed right away and was impressed by was the coverage, it covered very fast. The previous system, we would have a really tough time with pearl whites, or you'd have to put four or five coats on sometimes to get a really good match. With 9K, it's maybe two, three at the most, most of the time it's one and we are good. And the main color tool that we use would be the camera, where you take a picture of it, it analyzes it, gives you the best match.
[CHAD CAMPBELL] My name is Chad Campbell, and I work at LJI Collision Center. I paint cars, and I've been here for six years. I've been painting for sixteen years and then prior to that, I was prepping cars. The coverage blew me away. Especially the tricoat colors. I mean, it cut tricoats in half on time, spraying them just because of the wet-on-wet, the coat and a half on the pearls and you're done. The undercoat system I like a lot. The primers, the sealers, they flash real quick, they're real easy to work with, the primers sand amazingly.
[CHRIS] Whenever there's a question we can call someone and have an answer right away, or have someone come out and help us if there's a problem.
[JILL] Sherwin was always there to support every moment, you know, every move that we make to grow, and grow with the industry.
[MICHAEL] The first thing I do, train everybody is just try to help people, that's all. It's very simple. You need a cup of coffee, you need directions. Then if we've got to put a price to it, we'll give them a phenomenal job. SHERWIN-WILLIAMS
