GFX: What features are Original Equipment Manufacturers looking for in a coating supplier?

It's meeting their specification requirements. Number one ease of use on the line. The minimum work that has to be done when they're painting the aircraft as rework is cost of money. So the less they have to do that the easier it is the more money than on the aircraft. It's also color work being able to help their design folks create colors for their aircraft offerings. Their sales people love to have these bright clean colors whether they're solid colors metallics or Micas paroles coatings. Those are all available from Sherwin and like to think we have what the customers are looking for.
GFX: Why should an OEM choose Sherwin-Williams as their coatings supplier?
The product systems that we have to offer generally meet more than one specification. They may meet OEM specification or they might meet an AMS 30-95 specification. Generally are finishes meet these specifications and it exudes a level of confidence in the owner that these paints will hold up on their aircraft. The other reason is our color capabilities and we think that we have the best looking paint finishes out there. They're easy to apply. The finishers like using our finish systems and the owners like the way it looks when it's repainted.
