Folsom Fire Station

It’s important to supply the right materials to protect a space that protects the public. Folsom Fire Station 39 in Folsom, California is the city’s fifth fire station – strategically placed to respond to wildfires that occur near the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Calpo, Hom and Dong Architects designed the 10,000 square-foot fire station with three bays that contain a fire engine, brush engine and ambulance. The Craftsman style of the single-story building is achieved using a combination of a stone and metal wall panel exterior, with gable roofs that offer broad overhangs. Metal Sales supplied the wall and roof panels for the station, coating the material in the Fluropon® finish from Sherwin-Williams in Slate Grey and Patriot Red colours. The exterior metal panels and high-performance coatings will deliver the durability to maintain the fire station long into the future.
