One Automotive drives new growth with Resuflor
Sherwin-Williams delivers a high aesthetic finish for an expanding car dealership
Founded by British TV legend Mike Brewer, One Automotive supplies cars and commercial vehicles from their base in Leamington Spa. Known for his no-nonsense, down-to-earth personality, Mike has built a formidable reputation as an expert car restorer and dealer through television programmes including Wheeler Dealers, Deals on Wheels and his latest show, Mike Brewer: Born Dealer. When One Automotive sought to expand into a new unit, Mike approached Sherwin-Williams to deliver a car dealership floor that’s both customer and camera-ready.
Garages and showrooms like One Automotive are subject to daily, high intensity vehicle and foot traffic. It was vital that the chosen flooring system offered high durability, long term slip resistance and resistance to tyre marks. Mike also stressed the importance of high aesthetic appeal to reflect the strong values of his business and create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for his customers to browse vehicles and make the all-important decision about which one is right for them.
Working alongside contractors REME flooring, One Automotive selected a Resuflor™ Topfloor SL SR2 system to deliver a high quality, seamless finish that will impress customers and provide an elevated showroom environment for the cars for years to come. The existing concrete substrate was prepared with thorough cleaning and grinding to create a keyed surface profile, ready for application of the Resuflor SLX primer layer. Aggregate was added to the Resuflor HB layer to create additional slip resistance and a Resuflor LM line marking coat provides safety demarcation that indicates walkways and the garage door threshold.
Resuflor is available in 12 standard colours, and can be customised to any RAL shade. Designed for a wide range of uses, Resuflor is an epoxy system designed to provide long lasting performance with an attractive finish, excellent impact, abrasion and chemical resistance.
