3M™ Electric Variable Speed Polisher

3M Electric Variable Speed Polisher is designed for fast, effective removal of paint imperfections and packed with user-friendly features to make this tool a true professional grade polisher. It is engineered around a balance of speed, power, and comfort to help operators achieve desired results for compounding, buffing, and polishing.

Starting with a powerful 11 amp motor, this 3M™ polisher can run at speeds ranging from 1000-3000 RPM and maintains chosen speed, even under load to effectively finish various substrates such as clear coat OEM, automotive paint, marine finishes, fiberglass gel coat, acrylics, and more. Along with sufficient power, 3M™ has incorporated sensible ergonomics to maximize tool effectiveness and operator comfort. Lightweight construction, special 3M™ Gripping Material, and a vibration absorbing, 3-position side handle combine to offer reduced arm/wrist strain and increased comfort. Operators can tailor speed using a thumb dial to regulate RPM and the variable trigger switch can run the motor below the selected speed for a gradual start, then locked at full speed to reduce fatigue for longer runs.

To make the 3M™ Electric Variable Speed Polisher more comfortable, 3M gave it an easy-grip flexible side handle that absorbs vibration. This reduces arm fatigue over the course of long detail jobs. There are three support handle positions to suit the job at hand. The tool features a magnesium gear housing for greater durability; heat-treated, precision cut gears; durable, steel coil springs to ensure continuous brush contact with commutator, resulting in a long brush life; and a double-insulated 14 gauge, 10 foot power cord. The cord is abrasion resistant and extremely flexible at a wide range of temperatures.

The 3M™ Electric Variable Speed Polisher makes backing plate changes easy, too. The push button spindle lock features a heavy-duty spring for quick replacement of the backing plate. A rubber bumper and nylon locking nut protect the work surface from damage. All of these design features combined with a total weight of only 7.9 lbs. provide improved control, which leads to improved results and a professional grade finish.
