GFX: Sherwin-Williams Colormix Industrial Wood Forecast with a colorful mandala
We'll celebrate Industrial Wood finishes that have been curated into five collections. Custom colors and finishes that can bring us closer to happiness, inspiration and well-being. You might recognize the Colormix icon as a mandala. Loosely translated, a mandala means circle. It represents wholeness and reminds us of our relationship to the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.
GFX: Alive celebrate everything that makes life wondrous
Collage of a geometric shape, wooden people, potted plants, wooden letters, onions freshly picked, ash
We know that over the next 10 years it's going to pave the way for wellness of the mind, body and soul. Each of the five pallets are represented with their own mandala and present a unique viewpoint into concepts of well-being and design. For Alive, we're celebrating everything that makes life wondrous.
GFX: Mantra take time to notice the beauty in simplicity
Collage of a clay pots, crystals, bowls, stacked stones, beach sunset
In Mantra, we take time to notice the beauty and simplicity.
GFX: Play jump wholeheartedly into joy

In Play, we jump wholeheartedly into joy, taking the time to laugh out loud and not take this crazy life so serious.
GFX: Haven welcome all the good things to come
Collage of a desk, treehouse, leaves, winding river, bookshelf
Haven welcomes all the good things to come, the sanctuaries we create and the important materials that we surround ourselves with.
GFX: Heart wherever you go, embrace harmony
Collage of a weave, basket, grains, women, pots and h-u-m-a-n beads
Finally, Heart and Heart embraces harmony wherever you go, whoever you're with, no matter the journey, our humanity is really what life is all about.
GFX: If the sight of the blue sky fills you with joy, if a blade of grass sprining up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice for your soul is alive. Eleonora Duse, Actress
Woman rejoicing
So now we want to dive into the exploration of each pallet. We'll start with Alive. Let's watch.

Be present. Be positive and relish the moments of this amazing life. Enjoy it in an authentic space touched by unique wood finishes.
GFX: Shelving unit, living room, wood palettes
Here fumed, charred and burnished wood finishes, many with higher sheens, evoke a satisfying and rejuvenating sense of community and living well. Texture is an up and coming trend. We know this. Here you'll see parquetry and faux finishes like marble, stone and other unique applications.
GFX: Authenticity lies in being who you are no matter what environment youre in. Jessica Honegger, founder Noonday Collection
Vegetable sale, keep it real blocks, waffle products, plastics display, vegan dish washing block
We know authenticity is an increasingly important factor in decision making. With content overload and digital news cycles driving a polarizing political climate, our tastes and trust levels are changing. We'll seek out the genuine, the crafted and the pure living.
GFX: The sustainability community called Serenbe outside Georgias capital Atlanta, US, is developing a new hamlet focused on wellness and healthy living, with special assisted-living services for older adults.
Archway, sheep, pasture sign posted to a tree, small white houses
So new local looks at the growing need to live local. To reestablish what brings people together, what makes a community and celebrate the values that unite rather than divide. This new localism will be focused on building local economies and communities. So every dollar spent locally is a dollar of wealth retained in that community. Alive presents a warming, comforting palate, drawing inspiration from the rich hues of natural landscapes ranging from leafy greens to pigmented clays, navy, deep green, saturated terracottas, like last year's color the year, Cavern Clay, are the base for the palette that is inspired by locally sourced materials, heritage craft and mindful living.
Alive. The finishes of life full of possibility.

Our next palette is Mantra. Mantra celebrates minimalism, beauty and simplicity.

It's time to notice the beauty and simplicity. East meets West in this palette. Nordic simplicity engages with the order and elegance of Japanese aesthetics to create a look that is the best of both worlds.
GFX: Collage of: a simple entry table, nice-looking kitchen, wood countertop
A unique blend of bleached, white washed and blond finishes, Mantra embraces all that is simple, yet essential. Finishes are ethereal and light and provide a clean breath of fresh air.
GFX: Collage of a simple table, wooden stools, walkway, pillow
Scandenese design is about a delicate fusion of cultures, with simple aesthetics and a blend form with function.
Scandanese design balances a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian cultures embracing honest authenticity, craftsmanship and pure living. It celebrates form with function and centers on subtlety and reserved natural beauty. The key to the Scandanese trend is minimalism. Keeping interiors simple, but functional. Every object has its own purpose and there's no space for impractical decor. Scandanese styling is pared back using a few carefully considered pieces. Very thoughtful.
GFX: In time of political, societal and economic uncertainty, we see our homes as a sanctuary of peace and quiet.
Collage of a futuristic bed next to a normal bedroom with wide windows. A small table as well
Overwhelmed and seeking calm, we're increasingly creating sanctuaries in our home for peace and quiet. In the age of wellness, we wish to connect with our inner-self with an enhanced physical, mental and spiritual environment.
GFX: Photos of trendy bean-shaped couches and wood panels
Mantra presents a balance of warming cool neutrals to create a quiet oasis in the midst of our hyper-connected daily lives. Mantra's airy color palette creates a calm, serene sense of flow. Natural textures and details translate into refined materials and finishes. So East meets West. It's love at first sight.
GFX: Cereal bowl
This concludes Mantra. Next up is Play.
GFX: Creativity begins with uncertainty. Nature provides us with one solution in which uncertainty is celebrated, and that is the process of play. Dr. Beau Lotto, professor of neuroscience founder and CEO of lab of misfits

GFX: Play Tag. Youre it. Energetic and clever, these finishes pack a lot of punch and are the true definition of maximalism.
People sitting with fun colors on. Passionfruits and oranges.
Play explores how humor and playful design bring joy and happiness. Our team of artisans did an amazing job interpreting this palette. It's energetic and clever. These finishes pack a lot of punch and they are the true definition of maximalism.
GFX: Collage of a wood stand and other wood images
Play's buoyant, expressive and heavily textured finishes extend an invitation to mingle. They help us recall that deep down, we're still kids who love to play. These finishes are the energetic accent pieces of the room. Think metallics, shimmer and a hint of pixie dust.
GFX: Influences Joy The Aesthetics of Joy Happy Place The Science of Well-Being poster
As we enter into the new decade, joy and happiness will be integral to well-being. Joyous colors, positive affirmations and playful podcasts will be used to promote enjoyment for its own sake. Happiness is the new healthy. On an interesting note, as rates of stress and anxiety rise among students, new university courses are teaching applied happiness. Yale University's wildly popular new course: Psychology of the Good Life, focuses on how to enact positive behavioral change.
GFX: Influences energy Be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people Karen Salmonsohn
Seek joy, fun and celebration! Well find fantasy in the everyday, and take pleasure in our flaws. Self-acceptance will be dialed-up to self-celebration.
Collage of: colorful socks, interesting body make-up, dance class
So uptrending coming up soon we'll be done with the mundane and instead seeking out joy, fun and celebration. We'll find fantasy in the everyday. We'll take pleasure in our flaws. This flawful attitude can already be seen in beauty, where artists and bloggers highlight the beauty of their imperfections to challenge stereotypes. Instagram account such as hapsters, promote happiness as a form of self care with positive quotes and messaging, providing an antidote to online news where negative stories have been proven to receive more clicks than positive stories. Upbeat newspapers such as the Happy News and Good Newspaper prudent perfect pick-me-ups as examples.
GFX: Silver bowl and wood panel pictures
Play is made for experimenting with a range of highs and lows and warms and cools that can be mixed and mismatched. Drama is at the core of these finishes, yet it's not about shock value. It's about celebrating personality and individuality.
GFX: Play Some colors have all the fun
Beach ball in a pool
So this concludes our Play palette. Next up is Haven.
GFX: Lush beautiful jungle
Having a place of sanctuary is very important for mental well-being. No matter what happens in the outside world, there needs to always be a place for you to balance out and recharge. Avina Celeste, Author
Haven is all about having some space to exhale.

GFX: Haven Influenced by shades of our natural surroundings sea, sand, forest and sky, these finishes are an innate reminder that sometimes real beauty lies in the spaces outside the lines.
Kitchen table, wood panels and bed collage
Like being welcomed with open arms, this palette beckons to those seeking an oasis. Influenced by shades of our natural surroundings: sea, sand, forest and sky; these finishes are an innate reminder that sometimes real beauty lies in the spaces outside of the lines. The imperfections of the grain are celebrated as an organic thumbprint to authenticity.
GFX: Voluntary simplicity is a lifestyle that minimizes consumption and the pursuit of wealth and material goods. Individuals choose voluntary simplicity in order to attain a simpler but more meaningful life.
Collage of a kitchen table with books on it, a snowy farm, a wooden table, plants in pots and blankets folded
Duane Elgin coined the term: "voluntary simplicity" to characterize the modern simplicity movement. In short, voluntary simplicity is outwardly more simple and inwardly more rich. The simplicity trend mirrors the new spirit of slowing down. Living in a more conscious lifestyle and reflecting on the important things.
GFX: Material health Agricultural byproducts will be sustainably harvested for new natural material directions.
Collage of wood panels, grass, a label on a coat and books
The healthy homes movement might be an emerging trend in architectural building products, but the concept of products and designs that can help to improve indoor environments are not new to the industry. Future goals should be specifying products to reduce exposure to toxic materials and improve health. Finding healthier material alternatives and working with manufacturers to drive product innovation like Sherwin-Williams. Haven is inspired by the horizon line where sky meets the earth. We will seek to make our lifestyles more entwined with nature and the outdoors, drawing inspiration from natural color and authentic materials.
GFX: An oasis of earthly tones. Welcomes with open arms.
Woman on a swing overlooking a cliff
We hope you've enjoyed Haven, an oasis of earthly tones. Our final palette Heart is up next.
GFX: Le Petit Price book with a quote: And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: it is only with the heart that one can see rightly. Antoine de Saint-Exuprey
Heart is all about nurturing connections, whether a memory or feeling or dreaming about things to come.

Heart is a unique fusion of iconic modern design, mixed with an intergenerational boho vibe. What does that mean? Anything goes. The result is a collection of finishes that harmonize amazingly well.
GFX: Collage of a reading area, bedroom and wood panels
Natural, casual and barely-there finishes bring to life a meditation on comfort, connection and the pleasures found in the everyday. These traditional finishes feel nostalgic, yet reinvented as we look to the future.
GFX: Influences fusion. A collage of people is shown.
As traditional identifiers collapse at accelerated rates, many identify as pluralists. Pluralists are people who believe that the existence of different types of people, beliefs and opinions within a society is a good thing. To appeal to today's consumer, manufacturers will need to develop multicultural approaches to their work and their businesses. Including embracing a broader range of styles and finish preferences, understanding cultural traditions and sensitivities.
GFX: Collage of three women together, to nose shaped pots with plants in them, a statue of a black and white man, odds and ends
You cannot change the stories unless you change the storytellers. Find the right voices to amplify and bridge in the divide. Elaine Walteroth, journalist and editor
Recent powerful social movements towards human inclusion and a body positive society have shown a marked shift in mainstream perception of what perfect means. Skin that was once seen as imperfect is now being celebrated like freckles on models as an example. Design to is following suit and has long considered the body in an ergonomic way. Each new project creates an inclusive environment in which people can feel empowered and confident to love themselves, as well as comfortable in their own skin. Find inspiration in natural elements, the colors of raw materials from ancient natural fibers to modern bio grown bricks that inspire a softer color palette.

So the next thing we want to talk about is the Global Color and Design menu of services that we offer. So palette assessments is something that we offer directly working with you and your teams on product development is something that we do every day for every segment. We also offer education and hands-on learning at the Global Color and Design Center in the application lab. And we also support up and coming influencers, the students. We want to be a part of the schools with the industrial designers and with everyone that would want to know anything about finish. We are there to help and support you, but definitely talk to your rep about the services that we have to offer and we absolutely invite you to visit with us. And if you can't, we are learning how to do the exact same thing in the Global Color and Design Center, but virtually and this is an example of that. So we have over the past few days done virtual palette kitchen cabinet palette assessments that went very well. We also offer color material and finished presentations. Neocon, KBIS, France, Italy and Germany. We have boots on the ground. Our creative color material and finish guru was virtually going to the shows. We've shared that with our internal team, which is invaluable for their inspiration and their knowing what's up and coming with trends to be ahead of the curve and we absolutely want to share those with you. If you can't get to those shows, if you think it would be beneficial for you to share it with your teams. Any way that we can stay in touch, that would be awesome. And our last slide, if you haven't been to the Global Color and Design Center, this is our studio and our studio is magical.
