Sherwin-Williams FIRETEX® FX6010 is a fast-drying intumescent fire protection coating with rapid overcoating times, superior durability, pleasing aesthetics, and shop and on-site application capabilities. These benefits translate into significant time and cost savings to applicators, reduces exposure time during drying to adverse weather impacts enabling them to satisfy the project’s fire protection requirements with a third-party-certified solution. Ideal for new construction and renovation projects.
FIRETEX FX6010 can be applied by industry standard suction-feed airless spray equipment, giving greater flexibility for the contractor to complete the application on- or off-site. The rapid drying characteristics enable a high productivity with accelerated application, cleanup, inspection and hand-over - reducing the construction schedule.

Features & Benefits
FIRETEX FX6010 is a fast drying and durable intumescent two-component fire-resistive coating with additive, based on patented technology. It has been designed for cellulosic fire protection to give the shortest possible time from application to handling for fire resistance.
FIRETEX FX6010 has been designed for cellulosic fire resistance periods up to three hours. It has been tested in accordance with a range of national and international fire testing standards including UL 263 and ASTM E119.

- Excellent film build properties – up to 80 mils dry film thickness per coat, with reduced overcoating times
- Ready to transport after approximately two hours of drying compared to days for typical solvent-based products in the shop
