Avoid Preparing Concrete with Acid Etching
When preparing concrete for a resinous floor, it is advisable to avoid acid etching.
In general, acid etching can achieve a concrete surface profile of 1 to 3. However, it also tends to produce an inconsistent profile by leaving variations between high and low spots.
Acid etching can leave behind a bond inhibiting residue, and if not cleaned properly it can further weaken the surface.
