Incorporating cutting-edge technology, this 2K sanding surfacer air-dries in just 15-20 minutes, eliminating the need for spray booth baking and optimising your workflow. This means your spray booth can be utilised for additional tasks, ultimately enhancing throughput for your body shop. By embracing air-drying, you not only save time but also contribute to energy conservation and environmentally responsible operations, making your body shop more sustainable. The application process for the Ultra System P30 Prime 2K Surfacer is straightforward. Always prioritise safety by ensuring the correct personal protective equipment is worn before handling any product. Conduct an evaluation of the panel or repair area to determine the precise amount of product necessary for the task. The formulations for the Ultra System P30 Prime 2K Surfacer are available in the Sherwin-Williams Colour Retrieval System. Refer to CRS for mixing requirements or contact your Technical Specialist for activation chart information. The Ultra System P30 Prime 2K Surfacer comes with a dedicated Reducer and Activator. Mix the surfacer with the Reducer and Activator according to the correct weight activation ratio. Once mixed, add the cup to the spray gun, ready for spraying. Use a spray gun with a 1.4 fluid tip and a spray pressure of 1.5 bar. Apply the surfacer to the panel or repair area. For optimal results, apply three layers, with a 30-second flash-off between each coat. For smaller repairs, two layers is sufficient. Following the application process, remove the panel or vehicle from the spray booth to the workshop, allowing it to air-dry. Add the application time for a clear timeline for the next phase. The Ultra System P30 Prime 2K Surfacer dries in just 15-20 minutes at a panel temperature of 20°C. Post drying, the surface is ready for the next step. The Ultra System P30 Prime 2K Surfacer features a built-in guide coat for easy sanding. Once sanded, clean the panel or repair area with the Ultra System Silicone Remover and/or Ultra 9K Waterborne Degreaser.
