Sherwin-Williams JetFlex Elite Adds Unique, Color-Shifting Two-Stage Radiance Coat Options to Interior Cabin Finishes
ANDOVER, KS - October, 2018 - Sherwin-Williams Aerospace announced the addition of a new two-stage radiance coat to its well-known JetFlex ELITE aircraft cabin coatings system. The new coating features a color changing mica appearance, creating a softer, richer and more sophisticated atmosphere in any aircraft cabin.
JetFlex ELITE is ideal for commercial and private aircraft cabin interiors and applies easily to plastic, metal and composite surfaces. It now features improved appearance and application features, as well as options as a single-stage interior product (for colors), or a two-stage radiance coat system (for whites and light colors).
Featured in the new Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Interior Topcoat Selector and Fan Deck Set, are 40 stylized single stage JetFlex Elite colors and 30 different two-stage radiance coat options. This is just a sampling of the various color options available to paint aircraft seats, bins, galleys, lavatories, trays, etc.
JetFlex ELITE is based off Boeing qualified technology (BMS 10-83) and meets the most stringent requirements for stain and abrasion resistance as well as the FAR / JAR 25.853 regulations for burn, smoke and heat release.
Designed to offer subtle sophistication and mood enhancement to aircraft interiors, Jet Flex ELITE colors are responsive to LED lighting. These coatings create a subtle glow with highlights and colored shadows not seen with current interior cabin coatings. Color tones have been derived and inspired from Sherwin-Williams’ most popular interior design and architectural color lines.
