OEM coatings and linings are designed to maximize throughput for coating and lining applications in fabrication facilities.

Sherwin-Williams anti-corrosive epoxies and polyurethanes enable manufacturers and fabricators to produce tanks, vessels, clarifiers and misc. structures with higher efficiency while maintaining all performance goals for corrosion resistance.

It is essential that exterior coating systems perform in even the harshest environments. ISO 12944 defines the industry standard for corrosion protection of steel structures by protective coatings. Sherwin-Williams OEM systems provide corrosion protection from the benign rural C1 atmosphere to the C5M highly corrosive atmospheres.

Sherwin-Williams developed our advanced coating and lining technologies to reduce the application and curing time of many of the coatings used in the fabrication process.

Our coatings have reduced three-coat system production times from multiple days to single day applications. These advancements reduce bottlenecks and congestion and enable shops to work in a more efficient fashion.

OEM Solutions

ISO 12944 C1 - C4, 2 Coat System: Epoxy, polyurethane

Using a proprietary blend of our Macropoxy® 4600 and Acrolon® 218 HS, Sherwin-Williams produces an efficient, very high durability, two coat exterior coating system designed to protect fabricated steel in interior industrial or exterior commercial/industrial temperate with medium pollution. In accordance with ISO 12944 Standards, these systems provide more than 25 years of expected service.

Our system’s performance features maximize fabrication efficiency and produce a durable, impact resistant finish capable of withstanding handling, transportation, as well as the working environments at its final destination.

Key features and benefits:

Less than thirty minutes between prime coat and finish coat ensures work is finished on schedule

Higher volumes solids formulations reduces total materials handled and disposed to minimize cost exposure

Durable impact resistant film for best finish performance
Macropoxy 4600

Acrolon 218 HS
ISO 12944 C3 - C5, 3 Coat System: Epoxy, epoxy, polyurethane

Using a proprietary blend of our Macropoxy® 4600, Macropoxy® 2600 and Acrolon® 218 HS, Sherwin-Williams produces an efficient, high durability, two coat exterior coating system designed to protect fabricated steel in interior industrial or exterior commercial/industrial temperate or tropical with moderate pollution to temperate and subtropical with very high pollution and/or significant chloride effects. In accordance with ISO 12944 Standards, these systems provide 15 - 25 years of expected service.

Our system’s performance features maximize fabrication efficiency and produce a durable, impact resistant finish capable of withstanding handling, transportation, as well as the working environments at its final destination.

Key features and benefits:
