HOW TO EVALUATE AND SELECT WATER COATINGS AND LINING TO REDUCE CARBON EMISSIONS
In 2022, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) began a series of Think Tanks composed of influential leaders in the water industry, tasked with establishing a long-term vision of the future of water. The first of these think tanks was "Water 2050 Sustainability". The Water 2050 Sustainability report stated, "With rising sea levels and warming temperatures globally, the water community must not only achieve a holistic 'One Water' mindset, but it also must fully embrace energy production and emissions reduction as integral to its work." One of the focus areas that the group established was a roadmap to "the race to net zero emissions". This webinar will provide a framework to evaluate and select the maintenance painting and lining options that move toward zero carbon emissions.

WHAT IS ALGAE, HOW CAN IT AFFECT WATER INFRASTRUCTURE AND HOW TO EFFECTIVELY CONTROL IT
Far too often algae growth becomes out of control at wastewater treatment plants, leading to harmful effects on wastewater infrastructure. Methods and procedures exist to slow down the growth of algae and control the destruction it can impart. By using protective coatings, algae growth - particularly on a clarifier effluent trough at a wastewater treatment plant - can be controlled. In this webinar, we will begin by explaining what algae is, how it forms and the harmful effects it has on infrastructure, while defining methods of control and how to create a sustainable infrastructure solution while improving life cycle and decreasing overall costs.

HOW CONCRETE SURFACE PREPARATION DIRECTLY IMPACTS A COATINGS INTEGRITY AND SERVICE LIFE
Improperly prepared concrete surfaces can result in reduced coatings integrity and service life. Up to 80% of all coating failures can be directly attributed to inadequate surface preparation, which affects coating adhesion. To ensure adhesion of the coating to the substrate and prolong the service life of the coating system, selection and implementation of proper surface preparation is required. This webinar will review the different surface preparation methods for concrete, considering the substrate, the environment and the expected life of the coating system specified.

EVALUATING PRODUCT EQUALS – MORE IS BETTER, RIGHT?
Product equality: how do I determine equals? Have you ever thought “Let’s just line them up, side-by-side and see who has the best values”? Comparison in this manner does not lead to improvements, but instead can prompt misleading marketing practices. In this webinar, we will discuss what you may be missing or not considering when it comes to these practices.
