In 2016 Sherwin-Williams introduced its fast-drying basecoat technology, launching the SKYscapes General Aviation Basecoat 855 series. When shops use this fast-drying basecoat paint, they may save days or weeks on complex paint projects – freeing up spots for new projects. This technology helps paint shops serve more clients and increase profitability. Sherwin-Williams also offers SKYscapes Shimmer Basecoat, another remarkable product. You can add a shimmer or sparkle to existing exterior paint by coating the whole aircraft with a thin layer of SKYscapes Shimmer. According to Julie Voisin, Global Product Manager, Sherwin-Williams Aerospace Coatings, “It is a very durable and serviceable product that is very straightforward to apply. We are getting a very good reaction to it from the designer community and from paint shops.”
