Passive Home LA+

The purpose of the Passive House LA+ is to create a comfortable environment for residents, and also educate others about the benefits of living in a Certified Passive House. Passive houses are net-zero energy homes that use materials that keep indoor temperatures at a comfortable level, provide healthy indoor air quality and minimize the impact on the environment. This residence is the first Certified Passive House in LA, which achieves cost savings, due in part to vertical seam wall panels from Metal Sales that are coated with a Fluropon® finish from Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings in the color Snowdrift White. Designed by PARAVANT Architects, Passive House LA+ serves as a prototype to spark interest for other homeowners and kickstart the Passive House market in Southern California.
