River of Life Church

Coated metal panels helped the River of Life Church achieve a fresh look and room to grow. Founded in 1992 with just around 80 members, the River of Life Church in Jacksonville, North Carolina has experienced booming growth over the past few decades. With hundreds of congregants still stuck in a small building, they wanted to make a big move to a larger home with flexibility for future expansion.

With this project, church leaders wanted to make a strong visual statement. Jacksonville is the youngest city in the U.S. at a median age of 23 years old. To appeal to these young residents, many of them Marines and their families from nearby Camp Lejeune, they wanted something modern for the exterior. PAC-CLAD metal panels coated in Fluropon® from Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings helped achieve the aesthetic they were looking for. This included three styles of metal wall panels coated in a minimalist palette of Sherwin-Williams Matte Black and Cityscape colors. Excited to celebrate the strength and beauty of their new church building, over 900 members attended its grand opening.
