Sher-Bar™ TEC (textured epoxy coating) as a fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) powder coating assists in extending the service life of reinforced concrete structures. Sher-Bar™ TEC provides improved damage resistance, optimum corrosion protection, and increased bond strength to concrete when applied to reinforcing bar, dowel bar, and related components critical to long-term structural performance for both horizontal and vertical directions of construction. The coating is designed for application in fast production and custom coating application systems. Fused to the base Sher-Bar™ Green FBE layer adhering to the substrate surface during application, the thermoset polymer textured structure provides an optimum barrier to the corrosive effects of chlorides. Sher-Bar™ TEC FBE coating ensures increased bond strength to concrete and corrosion resistance due to the improved damage resistance on reinforcing bars and related components.
