Clean in Place (CIP) Applications

The primary driver for Resuflor NL’s development was its use in Clean in Place (CIP) zones within food production facilities. These areas involve the use of hot water and aggressive cleaning chemicals to flush stainless steel tanks and pipework between production batches. While these substances are intended to flow directly into drains, in practice, they often come into contact with the flooring—making CIP zones some of the most chemically and thermally aggressive environments in food and beverage plants. Traditional flooring systems frequently fail under these conditions, but Resuflor NL is engineered to withstand the combined stress of high temperatures and harsh chemicals over time.

Secondary Containment Protection

In addition to CIP zones, Resuflor NL is also used in secondary containment systems for internal and external storage tanks. These systems are critical for managing accidental spills or catastrophic failures, ensuring that any leaked liquids or powders do not compromise the surrounding infrastructure. Resuflor NL provides a protective barrier for concrete floors and walls, safeguarding them from chemical attack for a defined period and helping facilities maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
