In this tutorial, we're going to be talking about a new product launch. This particular one is a clear account specifically for the GA market at launch. We have three activators a very simple mix ratio. The benefits to this, they can be applied over any Sherwin Williams, topcoat system base coats 858 usually applied in 2 or 3 coats.
00:00:34:09 - 00:00:57:19

It's a full gloss material again for the specifically for the jar market. One of the good virtues is hang leveling will polish throughout its service life on the data. We make a big play for this. You can blend. We give you information on this, on how you blend the activators. What this gives you an allowance where you can make this your own.
00:00:57:19 - 00:01:16:03

As far as what age time is, we all well know it's all all about what edge, environment, conditions, expectations, number of painters, etc. so you can blend all of these activities to make your personal product mix.
00:01:16:05 - 00:01:48:19

Application. Equipment limitations again. Non with this material, use whatever you have in the shop. Again we've tested it from all of the application, equipment out there. You've got conventional help flying guns, low pressure spray, low pressure runs by Eastport, air assist Dallas and heiresses to Dallas. I'd like to static so there's no limitations. So this is a very easy 311 mixing ratio.
00:01:48:21 - 00:02:15:23

If you are blending the activators I would recommend and suggest you make a solution first with whatever combination suits your business. And then you apply that into the base and hardener at the 311 ratio. So that's the simplest form of addition to a blending activator range. So I think enough talking we're going to be spraying this in the booth.
00:02:16:01 - 00:02:36:00

We'll show you how the what on the application, the flow leveling and how it looks. So let's discuss the new clearcoat in this case. We've got two technologies. These are micas. Could be a solid color, could be a metallic, could be a hybrid. These are micas. In this case two technologies. One is 855. These are the 850 line.
00:02:36:02 - 00:02:54:18

We're going to be holding these for example. Again it could be the 858. It could be whatever we want to do with this material. We're going to be choosing the activator of choice. Mixing it very simply, three to 1 to 1, applying two coats of this material. And then we'll see what the result is. You can force drive this.
00:02:54:18 - 00:03:19:09

You can add drive up material polishes, cotton polishes for the rest of its service life. A good stain resistance, good flow and leveling. Full gloss. So we're about to clear this, aircraft or components. This was painted over 24 hours ago, so good practice. Although it's clean, is to wash it down with 110 158 wipe off. And then to always do this.
00:03:19:11 - 00:03:43:11

So remember we supply what paint. What paint is applied wet. This is generally a 2 or 3 coat process. If the process is sand and knitting by default I advise three coats. So you've got a bit of meat on the bone there. For sunning and nibbling. This is two wet coats. The typical flush time is to touching and transparent with, it's sticky with no transfer.
00:03:43:13 - 00:04:07:14
Unknown
The flush times can vary depending on the activated chosen environmental conditions. So you talk time can be it can be, very, very variable. But this is the ultimate test which is touch and stickiness. So we're going to apply the first single coat to get to talk time and reapply the second coat. And hopefully we have no issues.
00:04:07:16 - 00:04:29:14
Unknown
The base coat is nice and flat in profile. It's even we just got a wet bead to actually gloss this into a full gloss system. So we've applied the first coat of clear. We've got time of course. And again influenced by environmental activated choices, spraying on the amount of air we use all has influence. But this is the ultimate test for talk time.
00:04:29:16 - 00:04:50:03
Unknown
We're going to be applying the second coat of clear. Or indeed, if your process is sun and polish all the time, I would advise a third coat. So you've got that layer thickness to sun and cut. So it's going to be applied in the same, same way. If you notice it's a closed form flow coat. We don't do tacky coats.
00:04:50:05 - 00:05:17:13
Unknown
This is a full coat of paint. The second coat will bring us into the 2.5 mils probably. And that's sufficient for full protection. This clear, is now once, once dry, once cured. We'll polish all of its service. Life is great for, repairability blows and really nice polishing the edge. Very good in service. Repair, very durable, and stays very, very glossy.
00:05:17:14 - 00:05:39:20
Unknown
So standby for the second coat. So just to recap the the clear coat is now, now, now dry again. This can of a coat on the 58 any base coat. These micas can be a solid color base coat the 850 line 855 line. So it's really universal. Once this material is off, as soon as it's dry and buff blowing, do a lot of in-service repairs.
00:05:39:20 - 00:06:08:13

Very dull gloss, very glossy stays for a long time, the gloss retention and, fluids are pretty good as well on this material. Again, initially designed for the GA market, but it's got lots of applications. Very easy to apply. No, application equipment restrictions. Whatever you have in the shop is exactly what you need. And additionally, just to recap, we have activated solutions for hot conditions, cold conditions.
00:06:08:15 - 00:06:23:04

You can make whatever condition you like as far as the activation goes. Per date sheet. So you can make your own property on exactly what you want, rather than we making that determination. Thank you.
