[00:00:11] My name is Matt Heffernan with the marine team of Sherwin-Williams. I'm here today to talk to you about cartridge packaging for your marine maintenance fleet. This two component cartridge contains a pre-ratioed coating in a single package. This cartridge comes in both a primer and finish offering and it is the same durable, high-performance coating that you've come to know and trust. This portable, easy to use cartridge reduces time and waste, which lowers your cost. When using cartridges, there are several easy steps to follow. The first would be to mechanically shake the cartridge. After mechanical agitation, you simply unscrew the nut, remove the cap and remove the inner plug. Once the inner plug is removed, take the static mixing nozzle, apply over the opening, and reuse the nut. Place the nut over the nozzle and tighthen. Once the static mixer has been attached to the cartridge unit, fit the cartridge unit in your cartridge gun, making sure that both plungers face up. Start by squeezing the plungers up into the unit, shifting side to side. As you can see, the product, part A and part B, is mixing through the static mixer coming to the head. At this point, aim the cartridge down and pour out two to three squeezes to make sure that the product is mixed thoroughly. Once the product has been put in the container, it is ready to apply. Simply take your method of application, in this case being a brush and apply the product to your substrate. Don't forget to check your wet film thickness. One of the excellent benefits by using cartridges is the material that has not been applied. Still remains in the cartridge. Simply replace the cap and screw on and put back in storage. As you can see, cartridge application is an excellent addition to your fleet maintenance needs.
